Newsgroups: dc.general From: haoyuep@aol.com (Dan Hoey) Date: 2000/03/24 Subject: News of the Weird cartoon in March 24 City Paper In the March 24 D. C. City Paper, the News of the Weird cartoon (p. 20) shows an old guy in coveralls with a trowel (and maybe a perceptible tumescence--you can never tell with Belschwender) being blessed (or greeted) by a bearded longhair in gown and halo, seated on a stack o' bibles (either JHVH or INRI, I'd say, with odds on the latter--those books got crosses on em). So what the HCK does this have to do with paying schoolkids a wage, or feminist divorce/riot control in Egypt/S.Korea? Or is it about one of the other weirdnesses in the column? Or a retread cartoon inserted by accident? Could it possibly be A STORY TOO WEIRD TO PRINT that got yanked at the last minute?? Frugally enquiring minds gots ta know! Dan Hoey
