  apostrophes!!!" is a really good way of helping them remember.

I'd say getting people to use conformant lexicography is an important
good thing, but that getting people to use non-conformant lexicography
is not a good way to accomplish that good thing.  Maybe helping them
to fully accept that rules for English grammar never, never lack
exceptions is worthwhile in itself.
