In case anyone might find it useful, I can recommend the "NoScript"
add-on to Firefox, which blocks sites from running Javascript or Flash
unless you approve them.  NoScript has kept me from running into the
malware on ML (and probably elsewhere).

On the other hand, the larger type/smaller type options aren't
available to me unless I let ML run Javascript.
