It's a pity, because de Bruijn richly deserves all the abuse we can
give him on this news group.  He, after all, abuses sci.math by
posting articles that consistently have nothing to do with mathematics.

He seems preoccupied with some bit of inane philosophy, yet he doesn't
sends his little Richards to the philosophy groups, because the
readers of those groups insult him too much.  Clearly the restraint
here is acting to our disadvantage.
