So where are the cancels? According to Seth Breidbart, the sgnmedia people _want_ to cancel their message but don't know how. But the only cancel I've seen is from a moderator. Is there nobody at world.std.com to do this? I realize a lot of admins don't accept cancels, but for those who do--including those who check the batch and realize these are appropriate fodder--a little cancel script would get the ball rolling. And for a lot of low-traffic groups, an uncancelled spam can generate noise a week later. If we are not going to devote every usenet group to the promulgation of and debate over spam, news admins need to get their tools ready for generating the cancels. I would ask some other site to help out sgnmedia and cancel it for them, were I not afraid of triggering the keystone kancel phenomenon. Anyone who does take on the job had better at least start slow, and stop if they start seeing cancels from someone else coming their way. Dan Hoey Hoey@AIC.NRL.Navy.Mil
