It might have been helpful to suggest to the people involved that you be
told but, as it happens, I wasn't planning to wait until the meeting to
let people know when we have a contract.  I don't know if Mike is on
this list but do know that I don't read it every day.

Still, have you considered putting something up on the site saying that
we are planning to have one in September or October of this year and are
working on the hotel negotiations at the moment?  For some reason I
assumed that this had been done.

If we're loosing one or two potential members per week, or perhaps even
month, I'd be surprised.  And quite a few people up in Boston made a
point of telling me how much they enjoyed the last one and that they'll
be there this year, whichever of the open dates we're opting for we
actually use.

As I said at the last meeting I attended, we will have something by the
next one.  We'd hoped to have it in time for Boskone but, despite my
spending most of last week thrashing out contract issues, we didn't
quite make it.  But I took a briefcase full of material up with me and
Sam, Mike, Bob, John Pomerantz and who knows else went over it.  Now I'm
going back to the hotels and I'll let people know as soon as Mike has
signed a contract.

This is complicated by my arriving home from Boston w/ a temp of 102.8.
So I run out of energy quickly and am sleeping a lot.  But I told y'all
that I'd have this done by Third Friday.  And I will.
