BatGirl wasn't a thief.  she was a librarian by day
caped crusader by night until the joker crushed her
spine and now she's in a wheelchair and goes by the
crimefighting pseudonym Oracle and assists the
Huntress and Black Canary in the Birds of Prey comic.

Perhaps you meant Catwoman?
