"The Measure of All things," Richard Chwedyk, F&SF 1/2001. The most
affecting-without-being-sappy story I've read in years. It concerns a
sanctuary for unwanted bioengineered miniature dinosaurs whose child owners
outgrew them, told from the point of view of their human caretaker.

"The Gift of a Dream," Dean Wesley Smith, in "Past Imperfect," an anthology
of original time travel stories. What the elderly really do during those
long nights in the nursing home...

I'll make copies for anyone who wants them.

Erica

Offered for your consideration in the Best Related Book category:

BEING GARDNER DOZOIS, an interview by Michael Swanwick. Published by me . =
. . Old Earth Books.

Both Gardner & Michael are past Dsiclave/Capclave GoHs; as for the =
publisher . . . just a book pimp.
