Oh dear . . . are we allowed to actually discuss skiffy?

(The Chwedyk story is quite good. It could have been soooooo sappy, but =
he manages to pull away from that precipice quite well. How sappy could =
it have been? Well, potentially diabetes creating . . .)

"The Measure of All things," Richard Chwedyk, F&SF 1/2001. The most
affecting-without-being-sappy story I've read in years. It concerns a
sanctuary for unwanted bioengineered miniature dinosaurs whose child =
owners
outgrew them, told from the point of view of their human caretaker.

"The Gift of a Dream," Dean Wesley Smith, in "Past Imperfect," an =
anthology
of original time travel stories. What the elderly really do during those
long nights in the nursing home...

I'll make copies for anyone who wants them.
