Why, thank you Ted.

I know, I should be able to. But for some reason WordPerfect, my
preferred word processor, has refused to work since I had a new
motherboard installed. QuattroPro still does (thank goodness, or I'd be
doing convention spreadsheets by hand) as does the rest of the Corel
suite, but not WP. So I've been struggling along with the rather
wretched WordPad and adjusting the formatting of the article from the
way it's laid out in the Journal to something I can read easily in flat
text while trying to use *that* . . . my eyes started crossing.

(Before lots of folks start speculating: yes, it's a bizarre problem;
no, no one has figured out what's causing it despite a fair amount of
thought; yes, I've tried uninstalling it, cleaning out the registry of
all traces, and reinstalling it. At this point I'm in the process of
backing up my system onto my (hey, neat!) new CD burner in anticipation
of taking things down to scratch and rebuilding. Before I do that I'm
going to try a newer version of WP but I'm not anticipating much.)
