I *do* recall the triumphant return of the convention in 1965 vividly, however, for a variety of reasons. I heard rumors of the "Proxyclave," but my understanding is that it was pretty much a bust, since the "speakers" all showed up "in proxy" -- sending material to be *read* by local attendees -- and this did not go over well. In 1954 no one (including Briggs) was talking about it, although the earlier Disclaves were remembered with fondness. --Ted White
