	You are probably thinking of Mr. Velikovsky's work _Worlds in
Collision_, a title that prompted many a play on words during his heyday.  I
have not read it myself.  Mr. V wrote a number of other works in a similar
vein, all considered pseudo-science by the scientific community, and he was
followed by number of others.
