Oh my, got my copy through Galaxy magazine during the Fred Pohl era. They =
were advertising copies of the Shasta edition (the second printing).

The games with type were - for me back then - just amazing. & the idea of =
the story - getting away with murder in a telepathic society was, well, =
neat.

Now, for obscure early Bester: Who He? (Dial, 1953; Berkely 1956 pb as Rat =
Race) . Not sf; a mainstream novel set in the early 1950s NYC television =
industry. Book is fairly hard to find these days and usually not cheap, =
even the 1956 paperback edition is pricey.

As quirky as anything Bester wrote.
