Great book, great author. I love medical stuff, so medical science fiction is the ultimate, and the ultimate medical science fiction (except for "Little Black Bag") is the Sector General Series by White. Oh look! It was reprinted by Old Earth Books! Here's a brief synopsis: http://www.sectorgeneral.com/booksalljudgementfled= .html "Then there's All Judgment Fled, my personal favorite. Now I just tell people that if they want to read Rama done right = (sorry, Arthur), pick up All Judgment Fled." - - Mike Resnick (http://www= .sectorgeneral.com/articlesresnick.html) If all one has read are his Sector General books (& if you haven't, well = go thou and seek . . .Tor is reissuing them in trade pb), this is rather = different in tone, rather grim & relentless, but nonetheless a fascinating = first contact novel. Also not for one who fears closed in places . . . mjw >>> dalek_cag at yahoo.com 03/26/02 02:43PM >>> Lee, Didn't mean to imply an active dislike of Rama. I enjoyed it. I thought it was basically a travelogue and a pleasant read. It's just that like other books, it had been majorly hyped to me, so I guess I expecting more than just a book long description of an interesting spaceship. --cathy __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
