But, apparently, the translation 'evil be to him who evil thinks' has
overwhelming support in the literature, and I can find nothing in print
defining the word 'honi' specifically.  The words were spoken by Edward
III in 1344, so I would need to find a dictionary which includes 'Old
French'.
