Lee,
<Seriousness alert> What is so bad about Bill Gates and/or
Microsoft? I've heard a lot of hostile comments but I've never heard any
real evidence of wrongdoing. Please provide specifics. Thank you,

Lee Who's Opposed to Witchhunts

Two quick examples (and everbody else have some too?) If you buy certain
programs that are made for windows but not by Microsoft, programs that
Microsoft makes as well, the only diiference is that Microsoft includes in
your computer, when they load the source code in at the factory, a little
dingus that comes up on your screen that says "The product you are
installing is not made by Microsoft. It may not work as intended, and may
damage your computer. We strongly suggest you use only Microsoft products
on this computer."

That screen is the ONLY difference in the programs. Besides the Microsoft
being more expensive, I mean

The other is far worse. When Gates and Steve Jobs were ready to get a
patent on thier first computer, they made an appointment with whatever
government agency they needed and the patent lawyer to sign the papers.
Steve Jobs was picking up the lawyer while Gates came in seperately. For
some reason, Gates had the paperwork.

Jobs had a flat tire. After waiting 30 miniutes, Gates talked the official
int xing out all Job's signature requirements, the he signed it. By
himself. And caught Jobs coming in as he was leaving with somethinglike
"You needn't go up there. Thepatents are mine now."

Cute, eh?
