A heads-up for buying gifts ahead of time for assorted holidays or splurging
on yourself after spring cleaning the old home dungeon...

I stopped in at the Ellicott City B&N today, had a lovely piece of
cheesecake, bought a book, and found that they have a truckload of nice desk
accessories, photo albums, stationery sets, etc., half off. Looks like stuff
that didn't move during what Candy so eloquently calls the Gift Buying
Season. There are storage boxes, magazine files, various sized accordion
folders, desk photo frames, and whatnot in burgundy, green, and blue
suede(not everything in each color). There are some nice travel items in
black leather. There are photo albums in a couple of sizes in velvet (cut
into a fleur de lis pattern) in the above colors. Also colored plastic
staplers, tape dispensers, and alarm clocks. And something called computer
tethers. ??? All the stuff is excellent quality with nice detailing. The
final prices are quite reasonable, $7 for the clock, $22.50 for the largest
photo album.

I don't know if the other B&Ns have the same stuff, but it would seem
reasonable.

Just another fine service of...
