Couldn't resist, especially when I realized that both statements applied to
me, as well.  In 1974 I wrote a small system for the State Department to
keep track of their personnel folders; it ran on a Wang machine that had
(by some artful finagling) been placed onto a GSA list as a
"calculator".  Lo, and behold, just 10 short years later I was a parent!
