Thanks, Michael.  Now that Montgomery County has finally entered someting
like the Modern Age, I was able to  turn to your note to the Library
system, and enter a hold.  They tell me I'm fifth in line, which is pretty
good as those things go.  When their order comes in (at least 1 per
branch)  I'll probably be one of the first to get my hands on it.  They
even have email notification nowadays.   If you're the least bit slow
getting on the list for something really popular (Patricia Cornwell or Tom
Clancy, for ex.), you can find yourself 300th in line.

In this case, I'll probably end up owning the book sooner or later, but
with the library order I'm a lot more likely to see it as soon as it's
available.
