They should all be told about this year's >Capclave. Shall I do that, or is someone else doing it? I don't know. It depends if Mike has someone doing publicity or not. I know Mike was supposed to let Asimov's know, considering our GOH I imagine Analog will mention it, but I don't know about the other sites you mention. One thing that might help is if there was a way to distinguish between casual mentions, "I'll be at Capclave" or "While I was at Capclave I went to this nice restaurant in DC and..." and sites that actually have a listing of conventions (you might be able to do this by getting a list for "Balticon AND Capclave") If you're willing to communicate with all these sites (in a nice way, by thanking them for mentioning Capclave on their site and hope that they can include information about Capclave 2002) I think that would be great unless Mike has someone already doing this (check first). The details probably should be bare-bones: Capclave 2002, a Washington, DC-area science fiction convention. October 18-20, 2002. Hilton Silver Spring. Silver Spring, MD. (Hotel phone: 301-589-5200). GOH Stanley Schmidt (editor of Analog) and Alexis Gilliland (fan artist). $30 until September 3rd, $35 through September to Capclave 2002 Registration. c/o Bob MacIntosh. 7113 Wayne Dr. Annandale VA 22003-1734. For more information see http://www.capclave.org I'm going to probably miss this Friday's meeting, sorry.
