I agree that it would be better answered by Keith or Lee -- and probably best by Lee,
since she brought it to this list.  But the thing about gossip is that it flourishes
in secrecy and can often be nipped in the bud by exposure.  At this point some sort of
half-exposure has occurred which leaves those of us who are unknowledgeable of
whatever preceded it with more questions than answers.  This is in itself a fertile
bed for further gossip.

A separate issue would be the appropriateness of bringing an off-list
discussion/argument/whatever on-list.
