Of course at that date we didn't have a Capclave 2002 page up yet and
didn't create one until we had the date.  So I don't know what email link
he used.

And there was no way to prevent Capclave from colliding with a con
somewhere in the world.  We tried to avoid local conflicts, that's all that
can be reasonably expected.

As I recall Disclave's traditional weekend conflicted with another con
(Wishcon?) too
