KFL plaintively hoped:

Yeah right.
GroupWise "Help" offers this when doing a search for "mime" :

"About SMTP Gateway Addressing

To send mail through an SMTP/MIME Gateway, use one of the addressing =
options shown below. Contact your system administrator for more information=
 about the correct addressing option.

Nonconfigured Addressing

Format:

gateway:user at host"

Example:

smtp:"maria at advertising.foo.com"

Long Addressing

Format:

foreign_domain:user at host

Example:

internet:maria at advertising.foo.com

Reduced Addressing

Format:

user at post office

Example:

maria at advertising

Simplified (Address Book) Addressing

Format:

user

Example:

maria

Nonconfigured (Passthrough) Addressing

Format:

gateway:"host":domain.po.user

Example:

smtp:"advertising.foo.com":berlin.sales.maria

To address multiple recipients through the same gateway, you can specify a =
nonconfigured address in the format shown below.

Format:

gateway("user1 at host1","userN at hostN")

Example:

smtp("maria at advertising.foo.com","mark at marketing.sls")

Note: When addressing a recipient whose username contains a comma, you =
must press the Ctrl key while typing the comma. This tells Name Completion =
to treat the comma as a part of the name."

Hope that was clear . . . .
