Been done. Many moons ago, _Analog_ published a short story in
which we developed effective weather control and rained on the Soviets until
their defense installations flooded and/or corroded.
Whilst watching the Western forest fires on TV, I flashed back to
John Brunner's _Stand on Zanzibar_ in which idle hands commit sabotage for
entertainment, and I wondered if Osama bin Ladin was taking notes.

Ach . . . my complaint is that I spent 30 months in Taiwan, then 30 months =
in Rome NY, then 30 months in Seoul, S. Korea . . . and then came to the =
DC area.. Never grew up withthis crap.

It occured to me sometime ago that if the Soviets had spend their rubles =
on weather control they could have developed a Snow Weapon. Imagine three =
feet of snow suddenly dropped on DC . . . the gov't shuts down . . . oh =
wait, that happens anyway.

You damp yankees should try living in Mississippi for four years.
You'd appreciate Washington's relatively dry heat much more.
The site of D.C. was selected by a government committee.

Currently LA weather looks like low to mid 70s with humidity in the low =
=
20s - nothing like the funfilled stuff in the Balt-Wash corridor.

& I know I'll have a pleasant weekend; y'all do the same.
