that totally paralyzed the entire area.  Gorbachev was in town to see
Bush the Elder either the week before or the week after.  Folks got a
lot of amusement thinking about Gorby collapsing in fits of giggles ....

I worked with a Russian guy at one point, and he described how they
handle (handled?) snow in Moscow.  Seriously efficient.
