Glad to hear things are as okay as they can be. BTW, in case I haven't
mentioned it to you, there is a great collection of neurology support groups
at www.braintalk.org ; I participate in the Headaces forum, but there's a
forum for every imaginable condition and groups for family members, too. I
highly recommend it.

Subject: [WSFA] Family Matters

I have good news. My mother is back from the
hospital. She had the implant (sort of a brain
pacemaker) put into her brain successfully but they
won't know if it works until after she has a second
operation to install the power supply. Still she is
quite pleased to be done with the hard part.

My cousin who was caught in the Hebrew U bombing is
also doing better. She's being treated for burns.
She was extremely lucky. The people on both sides of
her (friends of hers from her program) were killed,
but Jamie was bending down under the table to get
something out of her bag and so was shielded from the
worst of the blast.

So considering what could have been, my family has
come through this week fairly well.
