If the paper were bought just for the news, there would be little reason to buy Sunday's paper on Saturday, since the Sunday paper costs more than Saturday's, but Saturday's 'Sunday' paper has news no more recent than Saturday's paper. The people who buy Sunday's paper on Saturday are probably primarily interested in other parts of the paper - classifieds, op-eds, feature articles, insert magazines, insert ads for weekly sales, etc. For example, a house hunter who gets Sunday's paper on Saturday can better plan visits to Sunday open houses. Someone looking to buy a car from a private seller might want to see Sunday's classified ads on Saturday. Ron Kean . ________________________________________________________________
