When to Octocon up in beautiful Sandusky, Ohio (a true relaxacon: all =
money went to "Hello, My Name is badges, but more importantly to the =
consuite).

My aim was to get to LA for the World Fantasy Convention the following =
weekend.

>From Sandusky to Columbus, hitched a ride to St Louis, then Westward.  & I =
survived.  I cadged some money for a bus trip back to Baltimore.  Played =
lots of pinball at the rest stops, and while in Oklahoma had for the first =
time bisquits & gravey.

Anyway . . . it's Really Flat in the Texas Panhandle.

Oh . . there was this billbopard advertising a free steak dinner.  You =
just had to finish it.  & it was Texas-sized of course, something like 160 =
oz.  Plus yoiu had to finish your veggies too.
