It's not so much a matter of traveling light but of trusting the post
office more than I trust airlines to actually get my luggage where it
should be when it should be.  I'll still carry on the important things
-- laptop, hardcopies of files, clothing for a day or so, medication,
and such -- but since I'm going to be working 18+ hour days I want to be
able to change clothes now and then.
