I think of the two series as apples & oranges.
Pullman certainly has pulled off something that seems to have gone beneath =
the radar of the Christian Right in this country.
Amusingly, the hardcovers & trade pbs are Knoph imprints, while the =
mass-market editions are DelRey imprints, with . . . bright covers.
