Keith-
A quick and dirty search of usenet (via the google web interface) turns up
no posts with the words "capclave" and "sniper" in them. Or "capclave" and
"terror." One hit on "capclave" and "terrorism," referring to last year's
events. The thread you reference ('"Terrorism" in Virginia Sniper
Attacks?') does not mention "convention" or "con" anywhere in it. A search
on "capclave" for the past week turns up no posts discussing anything more
dire than party possibilites, website updates, and an occasional plug. As
you have pointed out, the con's in *Montgomery* Co., so PG's involvment
seems very odd indeed.
I can't speak for anyone else, but to me this has the overwhelming feel of
a "tempest in a teapot." I'm learning about this situation second and third
hand; it is not causing a stir on the Net of a Million Lies; the people
directly involved in any actions that may need to be taken have not spoken
up via the usual channels of communication. Positive thoughts to Security
and our Chair, who, if any of this is true, may be in for an interesting
week, and in the meantime I have a soc paper and calc test staring me in
the face before I'm free this friday. And a recently installed CD-RW to
play with.
