Sam Lubell later classified Dilbert as "fantasy." My view is that we should not limit ourselves to things that are obviously fictional provided that said things bear on our primary interest. For example, Capclave presented nonfictional events on NASA space science, Guest of Honor speeches, and literary criticism. These are all nonfictional, yet are clearly of interest to the fannish audience(s) and were each well received. Accordingly, we should base our standards of inclusion on "things of interest to the fannish audience" rather than "fiction" per se.
