One can search for example: VA and see all of the Virginia folks who have = pre-supported, voted (or didn't . . .). And of course your name. mjw As promised, our full membership database is now online at http://www.interaction.worldcon.org.uk/members.htm The search facilities have been upgraded in line with feedback received. We have added State information to country so you can now identify people from your state who are attending. Unlimited records can be retrieved although only 50 per page to make harvesting less attractive. We have included all bid as well as con members so that unconverted presupporters can confirm their status and hence conversion costs. We have spent a fair amount of effort on data cleansing and removed approximately 30 errors. Qualitative trend analysis (ie my personl experience and judgement) suggests that our data is around 98-99% accurate, ie I expect around 20-40 residual errors. These include a small number of duplicates (I have spotted one more already), a few typos and mis-spellings (sorry if we couldn't read the handwriting on the form !) and probably a small number of status errors. We also have a few memberships not yet processed - those received by agents or the office in the last few weeks. These should be resolved for the next upload around mid-December. Before we announce the availability of these data more widely we would like to do some sampling to confirm that the data is indeed of good quality. I'd therefore like to invite you to check your entries and let me know of any errors (at harriscp at logica.com). If this exercise (which we are also doing with our staff) goes well we'll be publicising the service more widely next week.
