To all-

I'm sorry if this message gets to some of you more than once,
but I wanted to make sure that it did get to everyone.

I don't know if all of you knew that Hal had been scheduled to
return to the hospital to have the stent in his heart artery checked,
as it seemed to not be doing its job. This procedure was scheduled
for yesterday, Dec 5. Hal did make it to the hospital (University) and
the doctors did perform the procedure.

Hal called me at home yesterday evening, with the following info.

Unfortunately, the artery was completely blocked (not at the stent)
so the doctors did some more checking and found 2 more arteries
60% blocked.

It was decided that Hal was a candidate for triple bypass surgery.
If the surgical team was available and there was a slot in the OR
the bypass surgery is to be performed today.

When Hal talked to me yesterday evening, he was in University
Hospital, Room 366B, Phone: 410-328-4929. If he is operated on
today, I doubt that anyone will be able to contact/see him at
this location or phone.

Hal also said that he was told that he could expect to be in
the hospital at least 4 days.

If I hear anything else, I will let you know.
