"Being" an author that the WSFAn in question doesn't read or doesn't
like seems to be more common than being a favorite author. Contraintuitive
and interesting.
Sam Lubell would like to be Isaac Asimov. Presumably he means that
he'd like to be a widely read and widely respected author rather than (as
Keith Lynch suggested) a memory. I'd say that Sam has made a good start in
that he is already well read and well respected.
Keith Lynch is an author known as "This page requires Javascript"
and wonders if Mr./Ms. Javascript is any good. Javascript is one of the
most prolific and widely read writers of the 21st Century. Congratulations
to Keith...!
