It was Jack Black, I believe. He has been in movies.

There is a website with all the found "easter eggs",
which I don't recgoggleA google search will produce
it.

The extended DVD of LotR:FotR is very good. Peter
Jackson edited deleted scenes into the movie as well
as extending some scenes. He also had the music
composer do a bit more music so, if you've never seen
the movie, you'd never know ttheatrical the
theaterical release. And it does not seem like three
and a half hours either! There are scenes in the
extended version that provide some background to TTT,
*POSSIBLE SPOILER BELOW*

such as the gifts from the elfs when the Fellowship
left and discussions with elfs before they were
introduced to Galadriel. The head elf archer was
introduced so he was known to Aragorn before the
battle at Helms Deep.
