"John Travolta is negotiating to star in Harvey, a new screen
version of the Pulitzer-Prize winning fantasy play that was the
basis for the 1950 Jimmy Stewart film, Variety reported. The
remake is a co-production between Dimension Films and MGM.
Craig Mazin wrote the script.

The studios have begun talks with Travolta to play the role of
Elwood P. Dowd, an amiable drunk who pals around with a
6-foot-tall invisible rabbit named Harvey, the trade paper reported.
Stewart was Oscar-nominated for his portrayal in the adaptation of
Mary Chase's play." <http://www.scifi.com/sfw/current/news.html>
