	I myself reject the philosophy of despair in favor of the philosophy
of joy.  While there are indeed many lies and liars in the world, there are
many more truths and truth tellers, beauties and beautifiers.  The mature
individual does not allow the existence of the former to spoil his or her
enjoyment of the latter.
	And, when all else fails, there is direct observation.  For example,
I, Lee Strong, observe that you, Candy Matigan, are a beautiful human being.
You have intelligence, wit, love, humor, objectivity, concern for family,
friends, and others, sparkle, dedication, energy, and many other admirable
qualities.  I believe that you are a beautiful human being and that this is
no lie.

I believe nothing any more.  You (generic) may believe what you are telling
me, but that doesn't mean you (generic) weren't lied to.  Either directly,
or indirectly.  It's all lies.  From both sides.
