Yes, such reminders should be posted, partly because people may sometimes
forget that first, third, or fifth Friday is coming up, as well as to
prevent confusion about the meeting location. It would also be a way to
provide early advance notice of the dates and locations of the one or two
meetings beyond the upcoming meeting, as well as additional information
about the meetings, e.g. if there will be an envelope stuffing,
elections, etc. Each announcement should include mention that sometimes
a meeting may be cancelled or the location changed on short notice, and
that it is therefore advisable to check the event calendar shortly before
the meeting to be sure of having the latest information. And of course,
if a meeting is cancelled or moved on short notice, that fact should be
announced on this list, and emailed to any interested parties who are not
on this list (whose email addresses are known).

The Monday before a Friday meeting would be about right, I think.

A couple more messages per month would not be clutter.
