Well, with 21 reported incidents of piracy in just one week, it does seem
that piracy, far from being rare, is a daily occurrence.  The waters you
mentioned are perhaps not well policed, but I have heard of yachts being
hijacked or robbed in the Caribbean.  I had thought pirate attacks occur
maybe a couple of times a year, but it looks like they are quite common.
