If after two to three months after publication you see the book in B&N =
with a 50% off sticker, then you'll know that the public didn't buy =
anywhere near what B&N guessed. And the publisher really, really doesn't =
want them back. This is a delightful industry practice known as "remainder=
ing in place."

And probably six months after the paper edition hits the stores the =
hardcover will be returning as a $6.98 remainder. I could be wrong about =
the price.
