Subject: [WSFA] I have stronger reservations
Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist@keithlynch.net>

Hello WSFA,

I reviewed my room confirmation email today, and realized that
it was a room with *1 kingsized* bed, not *2 double* beds. I
called the hotel last evening, to try change the room type.
They told me that no double-double room was available *within*
*the Capclave block*, but that I could reserve such a room for
$119/night, outside the block. They have empty rooms, but *we*
can't have them.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Could this have any
connection to people being told that the block is full? Is
the hotel behaving fairly and ethically?

I have notified Peggy-Rae (hotel@capclave.org), and I plan to
express my opinion forcefully at the hotel desk. If I can't
get 2 beds, I really think I'll cancel the room. There is a
balance between supporting the con and the club and one's own
best interest.

Be seeing you,

Walter Miles
