Actually, the movie _Clue_ could be considered science fictional in
that the three alternative endings are clearly alternate histories!
The _Return of the King: Clue_ movie works more subtly than crude
and obvious voting by the audience. Remember, there were one year gaps
between the releases of the episodes. During those gaps, Peter Jackson
carefully read the fan reactions to the various elements of the movie, and
simply edited episode 3 to maximize the elements that fans found most
enjoyable. So the cute Elves and Hobbits get more air time than the gruff
Dwarves and so forth. B-p

Lee's talking about Return of the King: Clue edition. In this version, the
movie theatre shows three different endings and the audience votes which one
they want to be the "official" ending. ;)
