Never use M$ Word to write an HTML document. You will evoke only pain in your readers.  Word takes all of its styles and turns them into CSS styles, and uses them poorly.  Furthermore, it uses <FONT> tags to name particular fonts.  If your reader doesn't have them installed, watch out.

I use Dave Raggett's HTML-Tidy program to check my HTML before I post anything.  It can clean up M$ tags too.
