Bob MacIntosh says >that Judy Kindell no longer wants to be president. I think 6 years is a more than enough. Jay Haldeman was Disclave chair in = 1967 (see <http://www.wsfa.org/discjm.htm>, and by, I believe, then = current club rules, also club president; ) and moved to Florida around = 1973, so it would seem that Judy may have atleast matched Jay's tenure. = Well, atleast she didn't also have a Worldcon to run. > Steve Smith is >willing to become the new vice president. We also need to think about how to make best use of the pile of money from = World Fantasy. And by "best use" I mean usage that will benefit the club, and not = necessarily in immediate financial return, and also to benefit fandom. One option would be to subsidize Capclave until it becomes a surplus = maker. Future Capclave Chairs could bring in a GoH, or "special guest", = that normally we could not afford. I should warn folks that at some point I will have a proposal to spend = some of the money. I am awaiting some further information before I make = it public. > >All else being equal, preference will be given to people who show up >at lots of meetings.
