Does anyone know which spelling was correct? At least everyone's agreed that she wasn't Ms. Kovar. Today I skimmed five years of WSFA Journals that aren't online yet, to push back the first-mentioned dates. Fortunately, those journals had frequent lists of all members, or of just the paid-up members, or of just the delinquent members. And there was also a Membership Committee that reported on what new members the club had at each meeting. However, this wasn't perfect. Some people were listed as new members multiple times. Others, not at all. And there are a few issues I don't have copies of on hand. So please tell me if any of these look wrong: 1979 Victoria Smith 1980 Mike Bartman 1980 Bob MacIntosh 1981 F.L. Ahsh 1981 Bill Jensen 1981 John Pomeranz 1981 Rebecca Prather 1982 Evan Phillips 1983 Brian Lewis 1983 Lee Strong I'm more confident of the post-1983 numbers, as those Journals are all online. (Except for the still-missing February 1989 issue.) The people already in the club in 1978 were Alexis Gilliland, Walter Miles, Barry Newton, Judy Newton, Steven Smith, and Michael Walsh. As before, I'm only counting people who have attended at least three meetings since the beginning of 2002. (That's why I don't list Ted White, who no longer attends the meetings, or signs in, but often arrives after them. He was also around in 1978.) Meetings have remained about the same size, but with different people. The median first attendance (i.e. half are more recent) is 1994. Once again, this is based on everyone who has attended three or more meetings in the past two and a quarter years. I suspect that the median first attendance at an average recent meeting is actually even more recent, but I haven't run the numbers yet. The *average* first attendance is of course going to be earlier. How much earlier, I can't know until I find out when Alexis, Walter, Barry, Judy, Steve, and Mike joined. That information is buried in the First Series WSFA Journals, and I'll dig it out eventually.
