    I must correct an announcement that I made at the First Friday in
April meeting.  Peter Jackson is NOT working on a movie version of the book
_Man of Gold_ by M.A.R. Barker.  That was an April Fool's Day joke that I
fell for and passed on.  Please accept my apologies.
    A pity.  _Man of Gold_ is still a very good book and Jackson could
do it right.
