When using quotation marks in general, punctuation appears within the marks, but I'm not sure about when used to denote a colloquialism. Which is right? I went to the store to get a "something tasty." I went to the store to get a "something tasty". Strunk and White is terribly helpful. They say not to go there in general, as colloquialism's are "condescending." Since I'm quoting them, there's no question where the punctuation goes. Time for more coffee. Hmmm? Ernest
