It has been suggested - somewhat tongue-in-cheek - that a new Hugo novel = category be created: for the 100,000+ word bug crushers. To be called = Best Tome. Recently reread WAY STATION by Clifford Simak. Amazing what he did in = about 50,000 words or so. Nowadays he'd probably have to write the WAY = STATION Trilogy, to be co-authored with . . . . well, I'll leave that to = your imagination. Anyone on this list who hasn't read it, should go find a copy (used = bookstore, library, friend, whatever) and do so. Time well spent. mjw
