Michael Walsh states that author Charles Harness has attended a few
conventions but has never felt himself to be part of the SF community. I
find this self diagnosis to be interesting. SF authors would seem to define
the SF community. Why would an author feel himself not to be part of "his"
community?
And, is the distinction between science fiction and science fiction
fandom part of this feeling?
